It looks like you either need to install a mail server or use SMTP.

The easiest thing might be to just set the MODX SMTP system settings to use a free account at Gmail.

These settings should work with Gmail:

        SMTP Authentication: Yes
        SMTP Connection Prefix: tls
        SMTP Hosts: smtp.gmail.com
        SMTP Password: yourGmailPassword
        SMTP Port: 465
        SMTP User: yourGmailUsername
        Use SMTP: Yes

I've a form ... to insert in my HTML page

... but where I've to insert insert this snippet?:

          &hooks=`recaptcha,spam,email,redirect`
          &emailTpl=`MyEmailChunk`.....

in snippet area or in HTML page where I've inserted HTML form?

If all you want is a simple contact form, you could just install SPForm. Since the SMTP settings are working, SPForm should work as soon as it's installed, but if you already have a resource called "contact" or "Thank you", change the pagetitle and alias before installing SPForm so it won't get confused.

The FormIt snippet tag goes on the same page as the HTML form (above the form).
