Hello Modx'ers
I am starting to build a new modx site which is ultimately a company rating site.
Two groups of users - Reviewers / Companies
In essence it will list companies in a certain industry. Reviews are public. Reviewers need to do a basic sign in to leave reviews against companies. Companies will need to register and pay an ongoing subscription fee to get premium access involving an enhanced profile for them and also the function to reply to reviews.
My intentions are to use foxycart for payments for membership
So my questions are what do experienced modx'ers think would be the best approach (I'm using latest Revo)
- So I could go for as many plug ins as poss. And use existing code. If so what login plugins / commenting / rating plugins would be recommended
- Maybe make the user section using a login and commenting plugin and had code the company membership section?
[li] Alternatively hand code both the user and company membership sections myself
- (PS there is also option four the cheats way - and throw the project out on freelancer.com and eat into my margin!!)
I know this is a somewhat open question but before I really get stuck in I would like some feedback from experienced Modx users.
