Can anyone guide me to any tips on why my page is taking ages to load?
The page is www.suppli.no
Its mostly the initial entry to the page that is taking up most of the load time.
The layout is pretty lightweight, so I think it has something to do with modx.
Revo latest version, running getresources and wayfinder and some simple chunks.
Any ideas?

Not taking ages to load for me. Processing the page takes anywhere from 250-700ms which is a bit more than it should need to load from cache so there may be some things you could still improve - but that's hard to say without seeing the templates.
In general you need to make sure you cache everything that can be cached. Set &level=`1` in the Wayfinder call if you're only requesting one level deep. Don't use output modifiers for very extensive logic, but use a cached snippet for that.
As for other things, there's plenty you should optimize still (out of MODX) that will make it feel faster:

Some of my bookmarks for speed optimization:
Cache control/expires:
http://www.askapache.com/htaccess/apache-speed-cache-control.html
Enabling gzip:
http://salscode.com/web-resources/gzip-htaccess (there's also something being supplied commented out in MODX' ht.access
Compress/minify CSS:

Try just showing a single big image at the top rather than the slideshow and see if that makes a difference.
