I have made several pages with friendly urls, but I never had problem like this.
Friendly urls do work on this site.
But If documents (page) has child documents (child pages) pictures, css and everything else in not loaded.

    Example,
    My site tree
    -Home
    -about
    -products
    -page1
    -page 2
    -contacts

Everything is great on pages Home, about, contacts

But when I open products or products->page1, products->page2
I get just white background with text (no css is loaded )
I opened firebug and for some reason path to css and images is all wrong

    http://site.com/products/assets/template/css/style.css

    where is should be

    http://site.com/assets/template/css/style.css

    Why is this happening ?

I think I did everything the same as in other sites, but maybe I overlooked something

        It's revo

I actually had this, only without exclamation mark.
But adding exclamation mark didn't solve my problem.
Also, In other sites I always used
        <base href="[[++site_url]]"

The code Paulp posted is what would be expected.

Did you put the <base href> *before* your stylesheets and javascript? I usually put it after the title to make sure I don't accidentally have something else coming before it.

            Thank you Mark !
I actually did not know that <base href> position could affect anything shocked

I put <base href> directly after title tag and everything works great smiley
