Custom component with caching; howto remove a single cache file?

Perhaps you should share more of the code in context so we can better direct you. If you are simply deleting a single cache entry, or trying to remove a subfolder, this should work fine with the default cache provider. Without more details though, I'm not sure there is a clear way to identify the issue you are having.
