    Hi Folks,
    I have a complete “Newbe” question which is currently driving me mad and I hope can be answered quite simply. I have setup a simple site using HTML and CSS and I’m now having a problem styling the site when integrating into MODX Revolution.

    I have the main text on the page within <p class="content">MAIN TEXT...</p> tags (see CSS sample below). This views fine as HTML on all tested Browsers.

    When I replace my main text with <p class="content">[[*content]]</p> within the HTML copied to MODX, the viewable html page does not carry the styling.

    When I take the font family, size and colour etc and place it within the body { } element in the CSS file, the page still does not style properly.

    NOTE: Text on the site styles correctly when using TVs.

    Can anyone offer the solution to this? Thanks.

    .content {
    font-family: "Trebuchet MS", "Tw Cen MT";
    font-size: 13px;
    font-weight: normal;
    color: #333333;
    margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    }

      I'm not seeing enough information - or perhaps not understanding what you are saying or doing - to figure out what you are doing.

      Maybe a question will help:
      Is there a html tag with
       class="content"
      on your page?

        Can you post a link to the page with the problem so we can check it?

          One of the best ways to diagnose problems like this is the Firefox Firebug addon, which will show you exactly which style rules apply to each page element.

            Amplifying BobRay's comment:

            I would say "Don't even think about developing without using Firebug, or Safari's developer tools, or Chrome's (which appear identical to Safari - they are both webkit browsers) or Opera's or maybe all of them"

            I don't use Firebug much - no particular reason why, but use the others frequently - invaluable for problem solving, and tweaking, oh and figuring out others (and your own) css - such as which style rule is doing what and which css file has that rule in it and the line # it is on - and you can disable or change the rule and instantly see results.
