What permissions do I have to grant to Users who have the right to creat and edit content (but not templates) so that they can classify their documents as -not- public, ie as belonging to a particlar user group?
And how do I do it?
As things stand the Site Admin has to log on to change document classifications.

Are you saying you want a user to be able to change/set the document permissions on a (new) document?
I’m sorry, I used some imprecise wording.
I have had another look through the permissions in Role creation and by experimenting have found the solution - Check the box called "Access permissions".
Can I suggest that this be worded "Assign Document Groups"?
Thanks anyway.
I have since discovered two other things - but these for a seperate post.

In your delegate’s Role definition, near the bottom, are the settings for "Access permissions". Just select which ones you want your delegate to be able to configure.
If you mean under Permissions management, yes, indeed, I found it, as my previous post said. Thanks.
However, strange things start to happen thereafter.
See my next question under a different topic name.
