A question about ModX?

Hi guys - I know that this really is a question for the Phpbb forums but I know that you guys are very tech savvy and I thought that it might be up your street.

As many of you know, phpbb is updated using the ModX system which automates the whole deal. However - when I try to use this system, it won't let me log into my ftp account... now I know I am using the correct username and password - so I am suspecting that it is something to do with the fact I am using a router.

What do you think? Is it really as simple as unplug the router and try again or do you think that something is drastically wrong with what I am doing???

I think you might be lost. The modx system you are referring to lives here and has no relation to the MODX Content Management System which this forum community serves.
