Forum Software for MODX Revo

So, the new forums are really nice and spangly, we have a potential requirement for a similar forum structure for a website - now, i know Evo had an SMF module for integration but Is there a forum that runs on Revo?

I've seen Discuss by splittingred, but it says in the documentation not for public use so what options are there?

You can try integrating Vanilla into MODX; there's various documentation on how to do so spread in the forums.

We expect Discuss to be out in 3-5 months.

Are the current forums Vanilla or Discuss, ideally we'd like to have everything ont he same platform which might mean delaying it until a release of Discuss.

Thanks for the feedback guys, i think were going to go with Discuss and explain to the client its Beta and work from there.

I would recommend not promising clients Discuss until it is out, as we are not responsible for any push back in due dates that might cause you headaches.

We will always have a fall back of another forum shoudl any issues arise, We have made them aware of the situation regarding discuss and its current limitations and development position. There is a good possibility that the project will not come into full fuition for another couple of months or so anyway - but thank you for your concern.
