How to exclude hidden directories from virtual directory path.

Hello ModX experts

When I place multiple menu’s on a ModX website, I structure them by putting the separate menu items in different folders. Now when I use the virtual directory option available in ModX I get nice URL’s with the directory path included. However, the directory for the menu items should not always display. I flagged the ’hide from menu’ options for the directories I want to hide.

What API function do I need to modify to exclude hidden directories from the virtual directory path?

Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated!

This is not possible with the current version of MODx. It is however a feature that I would also like to see in future versions. I think a better term for it would be "Invisible Virtual Directories", where documents could be placed inside a folder in the manager, but on the frontend, the folder won’t show up in the url.
