I have finished building my first site in Modx. It is in a sub folder on the web server. What is the best way to transfer it to the root directory with minimum headaches?

1. Back it up.
2. Clear the cache.
3. Copy or move all the files to the root.
4. It is recommended that you upload the original /install directory to the root and run the installer in "upgrade" mode whenever you move a MODx installation.
5. If your .htaccess file was edited to set the RewriteBase to a subdirectory, edit that to indicate the root - RewriteBase /
6. Log in to the Manager, open the configuration and check the file path settings in the Interface and Features tab and the File Manager tab.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunatly I did mess it up a bit by deleting something I souldn't have and had to do a fresh install. Now when i look at the menu tree it is dispaying the page title instad of the menu title. Do you know how to correct this? It's the only thing that seems wrong at the moment.

If you're using Revolution, go to System -> System Settings.
Put pagetitle in the search box at the upper right.
Change the value of resource_tree_node_name from pagetitle to menutitle (double-click on the value to edit it).
Clear the site cache and reload the page.
