Hi
I am using quickedit to edit images and text in my sidebar. when the tinymce editor comes up I right click on the image then image properties box comes up. I select image url button and it takes me to my assets/images folder. All of my images are here and I can see a box for each but the thumnail preview of the image is blank so I don’t know which image I am selecting.
I haven’t had this problem before. Everytime I browse the images on my own server this way there is a preview of the image to show what is there. I am working on someone elses server which is on a wind2003 box and different to my server which is from dreamhost. Would this be the problem.
Thank if you can help. Its pretty urgent. I am using latest version of modx.
Hi
Sorry latest Firefox , Safari on mac osx. These browsers don’t seem to cause any problems when I browse for images on other sites I have done on my own dreamhost server. Thanks for the reply.

Safari will not work with the file browser, FYI. Firefox should.

Set your permissions to 777 for any enclosing folder... i bet it can’t write to the folder... that or GD is not enabled on your server.

Hi
Permissions are set to 777. All of my images are in the one folder assets/images. I just tested it by uploading an image to the folder from the browser which worked fine and it doesn’t show the preview for this image either. when i click on the image it loads it into the previous insert image url box and I can see the image fine then. How do I unable GD and what is it? I appreciate your responses rthrash. Thanks

You’ll need to talk to your web host about enabling GD, as that’s server-level configuration.

Is this site hosted on Dreamhost? If so then GD should already be enabled. If you’re still having problems, can you give me the URL and a user/pass so I can take a peak at what’s going on? Bet I can tell ya what the problem is by the error messages.
