I'm slowly graduating from Evo to Revo.
In Evo it was really straight forward to create a manager module.
It looks like it might be a bit more involved in Revo.
I'd like to get started by being able to query, update, add to and delete from a custom table.
What's the best way to get started, is it the "Writing a 3rd Party Component in MODx Revolution, Pt. I"
Or do I need to be looking at xPDO or is there some other resource that I need to read?
Thanks

There's some info here on using xPDO for DB work in Revolution:

If the custom tables already exist and are relatively simple, you might find this useful too:

i've been working through these tutorials but i'm stuck on
"Developing an Extra in MODX Revolution, Part II"
I can't get any data to show in the grid. The grid is showing ok but it's empty.
When i call connector.php by itself i don't get {"success":false,"message":"Access denied.","total":0,"data":[],"object":[]}
I just get nothing
I think it is falling over at the line that says:
require_once MODX_CONNECTORS_PATH.'index.php';
as before the line I can send myself an email, but if i put it after it doesn't send.
I've double checked all the paths and they are correct & It doesn't give any errors in the logs it just dies quietly without leaving any clues!
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Mike

Make sure you followed the note about the "session_path" system setting at the top of the tutorial. You need to change that since you're running your Extra outside the MODX root path.
