    Hi

I wasnt sure where to post this so I hope people will be able to help.

I have just installed modx with the sample website. I really like the MODXhost template. In there there is a horizontal menu with ajax. I want to keep it but would make the following alterations to it.

I want to sort the horizontal bar by menuIndex BUT the dropdown menus I want to sort by pagetitle. Now i can do both but not in the same wayfinder.

    can someone help please??

    thanks.

I suppose since it’s already heavy with javascript, you could sort the desired elements using javascript. Maybe better to just arrange your document tree approprately using the menu index field for each document? Space the menu index numbers by 10 or something, to make room for adding more pages.

It might be possible with some custom wayfinder templates I think. For the first level, just use wayfinder with a level limit of 1, sort by menuindex and a custom row template. In the custom row template put a new wayfinder call that sorts by pagetitle and uses [+wf.docid+] as startId.

I did not test it, but it might work.
