Attempting to log into the manager of MODx Revolution. Inputting correct username and password combo, and continually receiving this message:
Permission denied!
You do not have the proper access policy permissions to view this page. If you feel this is in error, please contact your systems administrator.
Flushed my cache on both browser's Safari and Chrome. Used two other machines including one with IE8; same error.
Logged into the database with phpMYAdmin, permissions for Admin user are set to:
id user_group member role
1 1 1 2
Only user in Database.
Pulling hair out!

AHA!, Managed to solve issue.
Logged into the phpmyadmin.
Routed down to 'modx_user_group_roles' table,
Noticed that the previouser user had an 'authority' of 9999, no problem here as it was set up as a very basic user.
Did notice that the Super user's authority had been set to '3'?
Edited to level '0' - zero
Just managed to login. Still at a loss as to why it had changed to level 3? will now flush out and re-attempt to login.
You may have accidentally changed the admin Super User's role (or some renegade snippet did it for you).
