First time Revo problems with installing packages

Have installed Revo for the first time but I'm getting the following error when trying to install packages:

For example, Wayfinder:

"Could not download package at: http://modx.com/extras/download/?id=4dd402c4f2455473fd000008"

A couple of others like getResources and TinyMCE had similar errors.

Happy to install them another way if need be, just liked the idea of hitting an install button for whatever I needed without the hassle of uploading the files manually.

Make sure the cURL is enabled and that your core/packages directory is writable. Ownership of core/packages could also be an issue.

Sometimes TinyMCE is in issue because it's so big, but if you have the problem with getResources, that's probably not it.

cURL enable and permissions checked and still no luck, not even on one of yours Bob:

As for ownership - that directory appears ok.

Have uploaded transport zips manually and managed to successfully install that way.

There are several threads on issue and it seems there is no resolution. All the threads end with manual upload.

Will this feature not be fixed? I thought later builds would resolve it, but that is not so in my case.
