Google Summer of Code 2007

Would be great to see MODx as a Mentoring Organisation for the GSoC 2007. Are there any ideas for projects?
I’d like to see the versioning support and a "more complete" (near "out of the box") blogging solution for MODx. I’m sure there are more ideas for MODx enhancements.

Will you apply as a mentor?

We really need to get into this program this year for sure. There are so many areas that would be wonderful with which to have some focused assistance.

The blogging solution would be a simple "proper" combination of snippets and templates (maybe a distribution builder ala the one from mootools.net would be a good project for this), and the versioning is also a great idea as well.

If someone lets me skip the March 5-12 Mentor application timeframe this year, you’re all in trouble!

I calendared it. I’ll make sure to remind you on the 5th, so you have plenty of time to complete the application.

Google Summer of Code 2007 is on!

Damn Google Calendar, it didn’t send me a reminder. The deadline for the application is the 12th. Let’s get one in this year :-D

Can anyone confirm someone is sending in an application for MODx? The deadline is in two days.

Did the application get turned in?

List posted, MODx didn’t make it.

Yes, sorry, my apologies to everyone that wanted this to happen this year, but I think next summer, after we achieve some maturity/stability with the new code base that MODx will be transitioning to this spring/summer, we will be in a much better position to participate in this program.
