Hi all. We have been using modx evo for a while now and are just finishing up a new site in revolution.

We have setup a staging server where we make the edits and check everything before syncing with the live server.

We built a plugin which packages up the database and any files up and unpackages them in the live site.

Though there are some tables that we exclude, including modx_users and the like.

An issue we have is when users add content from the live site using newspublisher, but I don't want to overide those resources when I sync. I had amended the snippet previously to save that content into a separate table.

I guess I am wondering if this is a good way to keep going or is there a more of a workflow way of going where the edits are considered a draft until made published to sync live.

I still require a roll back or backup of the content as well.

    Thoughts, ideas appreciated.
