I use Firefox 3.6 and TinyMCE from within MODx Evolution 1.05.
When I highlight some text to add a URL to it, it works fine as long as the text and the URL are not the same. As soon as the text is a URL itself, such as "www.thisdomain.com" and the URL I enter in the link field is also
http://www.thisdomain.com, TinyMCE changes it to <a href="../../undefined/">www.thisdomain.com</a>. If I enter
http://www.thatdomain.com as the link URL everything works as expected.
Also, if I put a trailing slash to the web address in the link field, like
http://www.thisdomain.com/, the result gets even funnier: <a>www.thisdomain.com</a> without even a "href".
I have already asked this in the TinYMCE forum and the response I received from one of the developers was to test it on their test page and if the error doesn't happen there go to the MODx forum. Well, it didin't, so I'm here.
I am absolutely new to MODx (and CMSs in general), so I would greatly appreciate any help.
