Hello,
I have a little problem with the permission management and hope someone here can help me:
I have a mainfolder in which are several subfolders.
|->Mainfolder
|---->Subfolder
|------->Subfolder childs
Now I want a user to access only one of this subfolders, so I created a document-group that is allowed to access/edit the subfolder and its childs.
Then I logged in as the user itself and there was nothing in the document tree.
I gave the user the permission to access/edit the mainfolder as well and then it worked, but I do not want to give the user the permission to access/edit the mainfolder, because he might change things he shouldn’t or he might create documents in the mainfolder.
Thank you for your help,

I found
this topic but although it’s pre 0.9.2 it looks as if there was no final solution to it, was there? ("Deferring this for 1.0 release and new manager..")
It would be really useful to be able to handle permissions by-node, regardless of the permission of the parent-node,
so one could keep the hierarchical menu structure and still be able to protect parent folders (containing eg ditto code) from hyperactive users.
so yes - I also wonder if there’s a solution to this or am I just missing something?
