Discuss forum not in add ons

Seeing that the modx forum is running using discuss, I cannot see it listed in the add-ons. I presume it is a release candidate now, sice it is being used here.

Can this be confirmed? Why isn't it in the add-ons?

I saw that the roadmap sasys it is version 1.1.0 http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/Discuss.Roadmap

They say it won't be ready for public release for a few more weeks. It was available in the extras, but that was an alpha version. If you really want to check it out, you can find it here https://github.com/splittingred/Discuss#readme

scottwell, your link doesn't load. is there a date set to release? has it been working on this modx site well?

I believe that they don't want this released to the general public until they have all the bugs sorted out and the install package ready to go. It's what is being used for these forums now; better to have the heavy beta-testing done in-house than inflicting a not-quite-ready product on anybody else.

This hasn't been made very clear but you can merge your old account with your new one.

Click your account name at the top right (when logged in), then click 'Merge Accounts' from the panel on the right. You can then provide your old account login and password and have it merged with the new.

If you want your old username you'll need to create a new account with that exact name, then merge your other accounts into it.
