    Hi All.

    I've just used modx to create a website and for some reason when I created a drop down menu the parent rescource page doesn't display the template assigned to it. View the link below:

    http://www.avontimber.co.uk/product-catalogue/

    Really cant see what the problem is Any help / suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Kev

      I think the template is there, but the CSS is not.

      Here's where it's looking for the CSS files (and apparently not finding them):

      <link href="manager/templates/avon/css/styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
      <link href="manager/templates/avon/css/reset.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
      <link href="manager/templates/avon/css/text.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
      <link href="manager/templates/avon/menu/menu_style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

        The files are there, but if you inspect them (using the Web Developer extension for Firefox) you see that all these files are complete HTML documents, not CSS files - obviously something is really wrong with that.

          That's whats puzzling me. The css files are present and correct and the same template is used for all the inside pages and they're all displaying as they should.

          The puzzling aspect is that for some reason the product catalog page is only showing the HTML and is not linking to the css files for some reason. The only difference between this page and the other inside pages of the site which use the template is that the product catalog page is a parent node for other pages.

            Really?
            I opened the pages 'Timber Decking' and 'Blog'. They show up as the same page - without CSS formatting. The source code of the two pages is identical, character by character.

            Edit:
            Calling the url
            http://www.avontimber.co.uk/manager/templates/avon/css/styles.css
            I see that this is a css file indeed.
            Can you show the full template? [ed. note: ottogal last edited this post 15 years, 1 month ago.]

              Looking into your source code I found a smoking gun:
              <div id="body">
              has to be
              <body>

              !!!
