convert site from revolution to evolution?

I mistakenly built a site in MODx Revolution (my host installed Revolution via one-click install and I just figured the new version of MODx was waaaay different than the older versions I'd used). Now, only after getting pretty deep into it and having the site mostly complete, did I realize that Revolution isn't going to be able to do what I need it to do (ie. No QuickEdit, no MODcast, etc).

Is there a way to simply convert my site over to MODx Evolution?

I'm afraid not. I don't know that anyone has done it. I think you'd have to cut and paste all the content and manually change the style of all the tags.

You might check out NewsPublisher for front-end editing in Revo.

There may be something available for MODcast -- I don't know.

You should be able to back port the database, granted it will take a fair amount of work. It can be done, it's just a question of the time involved to make the changes.

It would be easier to use Revolution, as those functions do exist with Revolution.

As for MODcast, it appears to just be a XML feed, which can be generated with getResources.
