I moved our Evo 1.0.2 site from one webhost to another this weekend. Before the move, I created a new login area setup using WebloginPE and after the move this no longer works. I think the problem is related to friendly URLs and webloginpe.

    Facts:
    - Friendly URLs work for public pages
    - I can log into the site using webloginpe
    - After logging in, I cannot access any protected pages using friendly urls (it redirects me to the home page)
    - After logging in, I CAN access any protected pages using index.php?id=xxx
    - Before logging in, I cannot access any protected pages using friendly urls or id=xxx (it redirects me to the home page)

The access control seems to be working just fine. I just can't access the page using the friendly URLs. The big differences between the two hosts are software versions; apache, mysql, php are newer.

    Any ideas?

That's an odd one. The code that creates the URL is the same for protected and unprotected page, so it shouldn't make any difference.

Check the Friendly URL suffix setting in Tools->configuration and make sure you're matching that when you type in the URL.

Run install in upgrade mode on the new server if you haven't already.

        BobRay,

Thanks for the response. The links to the pages that aren't working are built by modx. I've verified I have the suffix right as well when I manually type it in. (I copy the url alias from the resource view and then add the suffix.)

Based on your recommendation of running the installer in upgrade mode, I have upgraded to 1.0.5 and still have the same problem.

Is there a way to see a log entry from modx to explain why it is redirecting to the home page instead of displaying the intended page?

Could you tell us more about the server configuration? What are the software versions and such?

              I am running:
              mysql 5.1.49
              php 5.3.3
              apache2 2.2.16
              Modx Evolution 1.0.5
              (Debian 6/squeeze)

If there is any other versions that would be helpful to know, I can get those.
