Ok so I’ve been working with Modx now for a few weeks: http://72.19.200.210/index.php?id=1

Great CMS so far, except I have no idea how users work. After much hair pulling, it seems to me that only the admin can login into the /manager/ side of the app. So, I set up a login using one of the snippets: http://72.19.200.210/index.php?id=15

Great, the user login works. But now another problem appears; the QuickEdit Ajax floating plugin only appears for the admin! >:( When I created a new demo user, gave them full permissions as a test and logged in, I don’t get the QuickEdit plugin. I’ve created a user group and added all the pages of the website to a document group. I then assigned the demo user access to edit that groups documents. So, how exactly is a non-admin user going to edit the site? huh

I’m operating under the assumption here that I’m just not creating users right or understanding where and how they can edit the website? I have my doubts that it’s just buggy software, because no one else has posted an issue like this. I’ve read though the Modx documentation on users and still no answers to my problem. I’m running Modx 0.9.5 FYI.

Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks!

    Matt

      Hi,

Does the role attached to non-admin have right to run module ?

Yes, I’ve given the demo user the right to do everything. He’s practically an admin. Still, no way to edit pages.
