Hi,
I’m using the ajaxmenu (modxmenu) that comes as default on the modxhost template.
I thought I had it working fine until I logged out - then the navigation don’t work! Only when I’m logged in as the administrator and previews the site does the navigation drop-down work, then it works flawlessy.
How is modxmenu bound to permissions? My user groups and document groups are else set up fine and work as intended.
Please someone help, I was supposed to go public tonight!
System:
Apache 1.3 and PHP 5.1.2. Situation is the same in all browsers. MODx 0.9.5 with standard installation and my own template, also MaxiGallery 0.5 RC1 and Kalender.

I don’t think it’s a permission problem, it’s a problem with conflicting javascript libraries; when you are logged in as a manager user some are loaded for the QuickEdit feature, and these get loaded at the very end of the <head> section of your template. I would suspect that the libraries loaded for your gallery or some other feature are overriding the ones loaded for the menu, and conflicting. Since the ones loaded for QuickEdit are now not the last ones loaded, the menu fails.
Hm.. yeah it can be overloading javascript libraries. However I think you got it the wrong way around: It’s only when I’m logged in as a manager that the menu works. Further investigation shows that it is only when I’m logged as a user with quickEdit features that the menu works! Non-registered users can see the top menu-bar but not the dropdown effect.
So, what is it that quickedit does right? And how I can make it right for everyone?
