Can anyone from development team explain what is currently going on with public access to ModX SVN repository? Until recently, I was able to update my local copy and SVN client would pull down latest files.
However, some 7-10 days ago, my client reports new revisions, but I am unable to actually get anything beyond rev. 2258. I am really eager to take a peek at contexts, so, is there any chance to get 0.9.7 alpha?

As far as I’ve read they only spread that version among the current team, what the idea behind that is stays unclear to me though... (I understand they want to keep it stable before it goes public, but I’m also curious...)

Maybe we can bribe someone from development team grin
Anyway, I noticed Susan already uses 0.9.7 alpha for her site. and everything works fine (at first sight), so I guess it is not so ’alphish ’ after all.

Well, you can do a lot more with MODx than what Susan does, so I’m not quite sure if it’s enough to call it stable yet, but I’d personally vote for a free distribution of early alpha versions wink

There is no need to "release" or "distribute" anything. Just return access rights to repository to the same state as before.
Besides enabling us to peek at new versions, it could also help development team to discover errors as early as possible.

There’s always been many private branches from day one of implementing SVN. And there will definitely not be public access to all those private branches until it reaches known semi-stable point. There are simply too many changes happening right now to the 097 branch you’re so eager to see that it doesn’t make sense to push a perpetually moving target out the door, and start fielding the inevitable support questions. Trust me when I say we want it in the public more than you do. smiley
