    Modx Community,

I have been running Modx successfully on a number of sites
    for quite some time.

Suddenly, all of websites I am hosting with Modx began displaying
blank pages. This goes for the Manager access as well.

It’s as if someone flipped a switch and Modx quit loading data.

Non-modx html pages work normally on these servers, and
there are no errors being reported, by modx, php or mysql.

Each of these sites is on an exclusive IP with a unique installation
    of modx.

    Server stats:
    Apache/2.0.46 (Red Hat)
    PHP/5.0.4

My server host recently upgraded Mysql to 4.1.22.
PHP info shows no mysql stats at all.
myPHPAdmin shows all of my modx databases, is if everything is fine.

    examples:
    www.rileyskatepark.com
    www.ffhfoundation.com

With no errors to trace I don’t know where to look.
What should I be looking for?

    Any thoughts?

    Regards,
    Jeric

      Wow..
I attempted to re-install Modx on one of the domains.

      The install path "www.rileyskatepark.com/install/index.php"
      also returns a blank page!

I have other web sites invoking PHP without Modx
      that are loading properly.

      Anyone have any ideas?

      Thanks

Sometimes I get this "s=set" automatically
inserted at the end of the URL when I invoke a page.

        http://69.56.136.154/install/index.php?s=set
        huh

That query string is used during the installation process. It is supposed to do that.

Sounds like someone change the server configuration (probably an "upgrade").

Here’s one thing I came across. Probably not related, but since the blank page symptom is the same, I’ll post it in this thread anyway in case someone out there gets a blank page problem and comes here.

I downloaded MODx 0.9.5 and installed it - and got a blank page when trying to install.

After much testing and reverting to a beta version for a while I found out how to sort it - but I don’t understand it. Probably one of those stupid Linux/Windows cannot agree on how a line ends -things.

If I download MODx 0.9.5 (zip file) to my Windows machine, then upload it to my Linux host (WS-FTP, binary transfer), I get this problem.

If I download MODx 0.9.5 (zip file) to my Windows machine, unpack it and pack it again, then upload it, everything works fine.

Note: I use CJG Explorer script on the Linux host for expanding zip-files etc. Could be something with that one of course.

Could this have anything to do with file permissions?

I vaguely remember removing the execute (+x) flag on all my MODx files and came up with a blank page...

MODx install is running on Mac OS X server, Apache 1.3, PHP 4.3.0
