I have got a low cost site to prepare for a local soccer team, one of the requirements is for a table of results for all teams in the league, "nothing fancy".
In brief, how do I enter and maintain tabular data into a modx page, where the data is required to be ranked according to a cell value
Now the simplest solution (for me) is to just embed a table in the page and tell them to use the back end to enter each row afresh each time.
Even better would be to have a spreadsheet-like arrangement which could sort the table based on the value of cells in a column.
A workable compromise would be to ask them to maintain the table externally in e.g. a spreadsheet and to enter the data by copy and paste.
There are some php-based ’datagrid’ solutions but they seem like overkill (I don’t want to have to provide a database editing GUI)
Has anyone solved this problem?, easily?
