Im having a problem:
Connection to host: passed... Checking database: failed - modx does not exist!
I am getting the above message and I also had it on a previous modx website but fixed it then. It is something to do with the folder "database" and files that go in it called "php" then the version etc. Does anyone know why it wont connect and where I can get the old files from the previous modx version if that is the problem?

That error means that you have told the install script that you have a database named "modx", probably because you didn’t change the default setting in the database details page of the installer (it’s the first field on that page). But since you don’t have a database named "modx", it will say so. Then if you continue with the installation, it will try to create the database, which may or may not work, depending on the permissions your host gives you.
