    Hello,

I just updated to 0.9.5 from 0.9.2 Everything was working just fine, until I made a change to my configuration. Now, on the main manager screen, I get the top bar, the nav tree on the left just fine, however, the right pane says:

    « MODx Parse Error »
MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
« Execution of a query to the database failed - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ’’ at line 1 »
SQL: SELECT published FROM `modx`.modx_site_content WHERE id=
    [Copy SQL to ClipBoard]

    Parser timing
    MySQL: 0.0024 s (1 Requests)
    PHP: 1172094554.8796 s
    Total: 1172094554.8820 s

    ----------------------------
The weird part is the huge PHP parser time. This happens immediately, not after 1.1 trillion seconds :-/

Everything else works fine. The site displays fine. I can edit/create pages, manage resources, everything. Its just the main manager page that’s broken. Can someone help me figure out how to fix this?

I’ve attached a screenshot as well.

    Here’s some vitals:
    Fedora Core 5 Linux
    Apache 2
    MySQL 5
    PHP 5 running as mod_php

    Thanks!

Ok, with my limited PHP/MySQL skills I began haphazardly messing around trying to fix the error, and I determined that one of the files causing this problem is config_check.inc.php. (Edit: I actually grepped for the section of the error "SELECT published FROM" and found it only exists in that file) So I renamed it and tried again. I got some results from that, PHP errors this time:

Warning: include_once(config_check.inc.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/html/manager/actions/welcome.static.php on line 49

      Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ’config_check.inc.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’/var/www/html/manager/includes/’) in /var/www/html/manager/actions/welcome.static.php on line 49

as to be expected since I renamed the file.

However, as you can see from the attached screenshot, the main manager page is now displaying, just with a small error. The Configuration tab is displaying nothing, but the other tabs work as they should.

        Well, I fixed it.

This occurred because I left the Unauthorized Page field blank on the site configuration page. I entered a number and viola! Fixed.

So, if anyone else runs into this problem, check your site configuration file for blank fields!

Question for anyone on staff reading: Why did this happen?
