I wanna let the user create new pages not in the manager but in a single page with a form, so a non-techi user has not do deal with full page dialog. Is this possible and can I use modX user management?
Use the QuikEdit plugin, Create manager users and set their Manager Login Startup setting to a document of choice (within their allowed range) and the Manager Interface Access setting to NO. You find these settings on the User tab.
Oops, sorry... that’s for editing pages. To create new pages from the front end is surely possible but there’s not a ready made solution. Unfortunately you’ll have to write this yourself. And yes you can use user management to control who can add new pages.
I thought that I have to code this myself, but is there any resource which describe how do to this. I mean what function will I need. Can I use the file upload and TinyMCE Editor and so on.
Or on the other hand is there a way to hide the most fields in the manager dialog. My thought was that I don’t need the most fields cause all my values are stored in TVs. But this are at the bottom of the screen.
