Reasonably new to this and I’m testing various scenarios.

I created a chunk that contains a Template Variable to add an image.

I added this chunk to multiple documents and added a different image in each document using the Template Variable.

When I view the documents the images show up fine.

Now what I want to do is use another TV (@DOCUMENT) to include all the documents I created in one ’master’ document however when I do this it is clear that the @DOCUMENT command works as I can see the text repeated but the images I introduced using the first TV do not show.

    Am I attempting something impossible?

Many thanks for your continued help

What is the purpose of the master document ... just to list them all out or are you trying to make some sort of gallery? In any situation, this sounds like a perfect application for Ditto.

The purpose is to create a kind of catalogue - in actual fact I’m testing it on a list of wines - so I want the master document to display a list of documents where each document contains various information about each wine - price per bottle, price per glass, strength, image, grape variety etc.

        Does that help?

Definitely Ditto. TVs on the "catalog pages" shown through Ditto templates.

Many thanks - I appreciate your advice.

I am really struggling to find some sort of tutorial for Ditto - is there anything out there that may be able to walk me through?

            Thanks again
