I am trying to fully understand the power of TV’s, so bear with me.

Are they strictly for just rendering data from a source, or can they be used to create data in the db as well?

Here is what I am attempting to do:

I have a page that has a simple two column table that is for our schedule of events. I want a front-end web user to be able to create new events, and modify existing events as necessary. One column is for the date, the other would be a predefined list of event types that he can select from.

I have a TV created using the Datagrid widget, with the column names showing up, however, I am at a loss as to how to create a form or input mechanism for him to create/modify the other data.

Can anyone help here as I am clueless when it comes to queries and db interaction like this.

My db table is called ’training_schedule’ with fields of ’Date’ (primary key) and ’Topic’.

    I am running MySQL 4.1.21 on a PHP 4.4.4......

Thanks for any help in advance!
