I’ve try to use the getParentIds Function in this way:

$parentIds=$modx->getParentIds($myId);
$myParent= $parentIds[1];

But there is no response. Then I checked it with print_r and I’ve got this: Array ( [15] => 15 [14] => 14 [2] => 2 ). But how can I access the first element if I didnt know the key?

If you want the direct parent of the current doc, just use:

$modx->documentObject['parent'];

$parentIds=$modx->getParentIds($myId);
$myParents= array_values($parentIds);
$myParent = $myParents[1];
