Web Server:
* Apache/1.3.37
* PHP 4.4.4 (cli) (built: Oct 1 2006 13:14:20)
* mysql Ver 14.7 Distrib 4.1.21, for pc-linux-gnu (i686) using readline 4.3
* CentOS (it’s not my server so I don’t know the version)
MODx:
* Fresh install of 0.9.5 with all default plugins
I followed these instructions:
http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Creating_a_Blog_like_in_the_Default_Content
and I get the following error:
« MODx Parse Error »
MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
« PHP Parse Error »

The line of code referenced is a call to the explode() function and only causes the error when some kind of MODx tag is present (e.g. [+author+] et. al.) in the nl_blog chunk. When I change the chunk to something really basic like "hello, world" the page displays as expected.
I assume I’ve fallen for a pretty common pit-fall in MODx, I just haven’t been able to see what it is.
