Hi,
As a completly noob with ’blogs’ I follow the great tuto (now into the wiki)
originaly discussed here
http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?PHPSESSID=2845ab6f4a4cd6154c834707b611a026&topic=11688.msg78981
I still have issue with the comments done with jot : they simply dont appears/exists or whatever you name it.
(always 0 counted by this :
[[Ditto? &startID=`50` &summarize=`2` &total=`20` &commentsChunk=`CommentsBlog` &tpl=`BlogTemplate`]]
with BlogTemplate like this :
<h3>
<a href="[~[+id+]~]" title="[+title+]">[+title+]</a>
</h3> <!-- link to blogs article with it's title (link is title) -->
Par <strong>[+author+]</strong>
le [+date+].
En deux mots... [+summary+]
<br />
<a href="[~[+id+]~]#commentsAnchor">
Commentaires: [[Jot? &docid=`[+id+]` &action=`count-comments`]]
</a><!-- link to the article with comments form and comment count -->
Lien: [+link+]
Can see what is wrong, and where those comments are supposed to exist (new documents? Only some DB fields not visible from the manager ?..)
Thanks a lot

Hi
as your jot call is nested in a chunk used by ditto you have to call it uncached [!
hope that helps
:-)
Edit: you should make some testing
call ditto [!uncached and jot [[cached
and so on ...
Thank you
The original post contains such a reply and says
even ditto and Jot are called cached AND the documents must be uncached,
but
they are both called uncached or cached (same level of caching due to parser limits)
BUT [! for jot does not works at all.
Mixed calls dont help.
I can write a comments - no error - but Where those comments are supposed to be ?
It’s still zero counted.
