    does anybody know of a server setting that would block ajax calls?

    this is my server info

    Apache/1.3.36 (Unix) mod_log_bytes/1.2 PHP/4.4.2

    im using prototype to make and an ajax call to a "directory", the output of a snippet, in modx that generates xml output to update the dom of an html page

    its supposed to work like this

    I make an ajax call to

    mysite.com/xml

    and through either a get or post I can get the xml of any document in modx by using the parameter

    docid= the document I want ex: mysite.com/xml?docid=8

    so I’ve been trying to make the call work for like a week and I thought it was modx that was messing up and then i tried it with an xml file that was on the server and it didn’t work either

    Which brings me to my original question does anybody know a server setting that would block ajax calls from prototype?
