In Textpattern there is a very convenient entry form for creating link lists on pages. So to enter links, there is a form with the following textboxes:
- Title
- Sort Value
- URL
- Link category
- Description
Is there a way to do the same in MODx? I think for things like that TinyMCE isn’t very convenient.
Additional question in that context: is there something like conditional tags in MODx? To put out links in txp, I can use something like that in the template:
<txp:if_section name="links">
<txp:mem_glinklist form="Links" headwraptag="h2" />
The first line makes sure that links are only displayed when "Links" is the current page. The second line then is calling a plugin and a form to display the links, categorized and with headers defined as h2. That way, I can basically build a page with one template, and display different content based on the section or id that is active.
That’s the way I think coming from txp to solve that problem ... well, I know that might not work here the same way. But I think there must be a MODx way of doing it ... can somebody please point me into the right direction?
