We are currently looking for a solution for a website on which a visitor can create an account and log in. If logged in it is possible for that user to acquire and download files like mp3s for example.
How could I build something like this? It is necessary to get feedback from a credit card payment system like paypal. How does this work in general, could anyone give me some pointers?
Furthermore after the payment has been confirmed by the payment system the shop must generate a url the user can use to download the file he/she bought. It is important that the url based download should only be enabled for that user.
Primarily I’m looking for a modx based solution but I’d also be interested in alternative packages (open source software) you people may know that supply this kind of functionality.
I can probably allready tackle the shop display and login system with my current information and knowledge but as for payment and the dynamic downloadlinks part I am looking forward to read some of your advice.
