    Hi

    Just installed

    php 5.2.2
    MYSQL 5.2
    Apache 2.2.4

on Windows XP and everything works as it should. I wanted to install MOD-x 9.5 so I downloaded, unzipped, and copied the correct folders to the root directory of my site.

I run index.php click through the terms and conditions, new installation and get to "CONNECTION INFORMATION".

    Database name: test
    Table prefix:testtable

Now please enter the login data for your database.

    Database host:localhost
    Database login name:hal
    Database password: ******

OK, no problem until I "TEST CONNECTION" and it comes up with "Testing connection......." but gives me nothing else after that.

I have tried just filling in the next inputs(username and password etc) then moved to the next page and all I get is a page with no content but a MOD-X header.

Please help. I don’t know where I am going wrong.

    Thanks

Try XAMPP first, then if that works, try rolling your own installs of MODx... it’s likely a configuration issue.
