Everytime I log into the user manager I get this error:

I have t press the browsers "back"-Button, then I can use the manager. But even then I still get some errors. I CAN work but it’s a headache and this is a site I made for money so this is no good situation for me. Does anyone have an idea about what could be wrong?
(The error was not there since the beginning of the site. It occured after a few months.)

Turn off built in stats, clear your event logs and upgrade to 095.

Is this the normal way to solve the problem or is it just: "Well do this and let’s see if this probably solves the problem."
I’m a little bit afraid of updating the site. smiley

there is also a security issue - so upgrading is really a good idea.

remember - fear is the mind killer! smiley

It is a generic way of at least getting the problem to a stage where other issues can be ruled out. There are thousands of changes between 0.9.2 and 0.9.5 and so yes, it probably solves the problem. It may actually not solve the problem, but it will get you to a situation where you can get support.

As long as everything is backed up and you take care while running the Install process to read the options being presented, you have nothing to fear.
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

I have done literally dozens of upgrades without a single problem.

There are a few steps to make it as painless as possible.

Refresh the site cache and log out of the Manger before upgrading. You might even want to clear your browser cache, and any cookies for the site.

Make sure to backup especially your config.inc.php file and any /assets/ folders with your stuff, such as images. Make sure any modded snippets and templates have their own names, or make sure not to upload those new files.

Upload all the /manager/ files. Upload at least the /asssets/cache files, and the quick edit and tinymce files from /assets/plugins and assets/modules. Leave new snippets for individual installation later if you want to use them.

              Upload the install folder.

Run the installer, select "upgrade". On the page for upgrading/installing snippets, upgrade only the quick edit and tinymce modules and plugins. Avoid upgrading the snippets; if you are using an older version it might cause problems. You can upgrade them later individually if you want to.

As soon as the upgrade is finished, go to the Manger and refresh the cache.

That should be all; I’ve never had any problems; and several of my upgrades were from Etomite 0.6 to MODx 0.9.5.
