Hello all!
I am new to modX but am impressed with what I have seen so far.

I created a site in dreamweaver and realised it was going to be too much of a task to sustain a large site manually. I have installed modX with no problems but just have one query...

Once I have created a page and assigned a template...What is the url and how to I access that page on my live site? Is there away of importing all my files I have created manually into modX?

Appreciate your help and look forward to helping others also...

Jonny

in manager in the menu are a item called import site,
and the site url is like the manager one whithout the manager string
http://www.mylovelysite.com/
http://www.mylovelysite.com/manager
hi

If I import the site, will it put in all the pages on the left hand nav? I created a page called about, so what is the direct url to get to and view that page on a live site?

Thank you

You can see its id:

about (2)

where "2" can be different in your case, call it http://site.com/index.php?id=2 ... if you have SEF urls ON, call it http://site.com/about.html (if you gave it alias when editing it).

hope this helps.
