I’ve spent a month working around on the forums and supporting sites and my website (using modx-0.9.5) is taking shape... thanks everyone for helping! now I’ve come up with the next phase and I would like to document it and stick it on the wiki to make things easier for anyone else in my shoes, any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to do the following:
1)Want to figure out the best way to have people be able to register for a newsletter. I have eform set up and it’s working great for emailing responses when people submit my ’contact us’ form. So I don’t think it will be too hard to set it up to keep track of names. I’m a bit of a beginner with databases...is this hard to do?
2)I have been experimenting with Dito to make the news listings. The news titles will be listed on one long page and when clicked on it will open the story.... want to figure out a way to be able to put these into a weekly email. Can I do this with Dito? Could I have the template page in my website be automatically turned into a newsletter that can be emailed?
3) Would I be able in the manager section be able to set up a system that can access the ’register’ email addresses, make a newsletter, and email it using the ’inbox’?
I’m a bit lost after reading all the material. It looks like some resources will not work with 0.9.5. What would be the best/easiest way to set up what I’m after?
