    Hi all,

I am using the weblogin snippet to allow users to register and login to my site. However, when they register, they don’t seem to be assigned to a Web User group. What I want to do is publish content that is only available to registered users.

Can anyone help me with this, its quite easy to achieve with other CMS’ but then again I have not been using Modx too long.

    Thanks
    Lee

      Hello there,

how are you using the weblogin snippet - can you give an example of the snippet call?

Think I figured it out, is it something like this:

        [[WebSignup? &groups=`Site Visitors`]]

Would send registered users to the group Site Visitors?

Sorry, still trying to figure it out.

That is working great now, one last question, and as far as I can see, you can do this manually for each registered user, but, is it possble to set a default url that all users will sees once they login to the site?

            Thanks

you can do this using the weblogin snippet if you go to resources, snippets and have a look at the weblogin one ,it gives you a description of the values you can pass it, one of them is

              &loginhomeid

redirects the user to first authorized page in the list. If no id was specified then the login home page id or the current document id will be used
