Everything was fine with my MODx install. It worked for about a day and now I get the following error message when I go anywhere in the site.
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in ../assets/cache/siteCache.idx.php on line 3706
Thoughts?
Have you tried clearing the site cache from manager? Just out of curiosity, how many documents you have?
"He can have a lollipop any time he wants to. That's what it means to be a programmer."
Well, it seems that the cache file has somehow corrupted, you could have a look see to that siteCache.idx.php file on line 3706 to see if you can fix it.. or you could empty the cache files manually, in siteCache.idx.php leave:
<?php
?>
and in sitePublishing.idx.php leave:
<?php $cacheRefreshTime=0; ?>
What version of MODx are you using?

It seems you’ve managed to add some PHP code (in a snippet, plugin, etc.) with some kind of error that is causing the entire site cache file to get scrambled. You’ll need to look at that line in the file, determine what component is causing this problem, remove it from the appropriate database table, then clean the siteCache file leaving only the opening and closing php tags (i.e. <?php and ?>) and then access the login page.
