I want to change the database server for my MODx installation.

I have searched the entire manager interface and the only place I can find it is in "Reports -> System Info" which tells me that the database server is "localhost". I have searched the forums but only find information about upgrading and reinstalling.

I want to move all the tables myself (using mysqldump) on to a new DB server and then just alter the name for the server from localhost to the new name.

I don’t want to reinstall if possible..

Is there a place that I just cannot find where I can edit the DB connection details?

    Cheers

    Gordon

      Try checking in this file:

      manager/includes/config.inc.php

Thanks for that.. works perfectly... (once I figured out the darned CREATE USER syntax on MySQL)
