After some problems (converting the database-content to UTF-8) I’ve just updated to 0.9.5. While checking that everything is working fine I’ve found a problem:

in my system are two roles: administrators and "redakteure". the group "redakteure" is for contentpublishers. but they have one right to much: the can im- and export the site and I’m not able to deactivate this within the role-management.

as administrator of the site this is a critical issue.

Is it a bug? What can I do?

nach einigen Problemen (Konvertieren der Daten nach UTF-8) habe ich gerade auf Version 0.9.5 upgedated. Beim prüfen ob alle korrekt funktioniert fiel mir ein Problem auf:

In meinem System gibt es zwei Rollen: Administratoren und Redakteure. Die Redakteure sind Content-Lieferanten. Allerdings musste ich feststellen das sie zu viele Rechte haben: Sie können Seiten im- und exportieren.

In den Einstellungen des Rollenmanagements konnte ich nichts finden um Ihnen diese Möglichkeit zu nehmen.

Für mich ein kritisches Problem.

Ein Bug? Wenn ja: wie bekomme ich ihn in den Griff?

The permissions for the import/export sections have been separated out in the next release of MODx - so, if you can wait just a short while ... wink

In teh mean time the best you can do I think is to remove those items from the menu all together (assuming you as the administrator don’t need it). To do that you’ll need to comment out a few lines in menu.php (manager/frames/menu.php). Look for the following lines of code (somewhere around line 318)

}

//	$toolsmenu .= '<li><a onclick="this.blur();" href="index.php?a=83" target="main">' . $_lang["export_site"]. '</a></li>';
}
?>

Comment out the lines starting with $toolsmenu .= ..... as shown above.
