I have tried to install Modx (installing it in a sub directory on the server just to try it out) and met all of the conditions in terms of chmod on the server for the assets/cache directory, database access etc. The server I am trying to install this on runs MySQL, PHP and Apache.

The install goes well until I receive the following error message:

"Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: synccache in /home/fhlinux183/o/onlinepropertygroup.org.uk/user/htdocs/modx/install/instprocessor.php on line 470"

The full setup feedback I get is as follows:

    Selecting database `onlineprop`: OK!

    Checking table prefix `modx_`: OK!

Re-upload your files, as it appears some did not get transferred properly. Common problem, easily resolved...

Thanks, it worked I treat (in the process of discovering this, I also found that I needed a better ftp client...)
