    Hi

I’m using MODX CMS for developing my application..

But I want to know , "How can I use MODX Cms as an PHP-AJAX Framework".

How can I use the PHP and Ajax functionality but not installing and just using modx as a framework.

Please can Any one suggest /tell me more on this angle of MODX CMS.

    Thanks in advance,
    Trinath Somanchi.

Trinath, at the moment, MODx is focused entirely on content organization, presentation, and management. Though it provides a few API functions and features for adding Javascripts to pages from dynamic PHP snippets for instance, it is not really meant as a complete, stand-alone PHP-AJAX RAD (Rapid Application Development) framework, yet. But because of it’s modular design, and isolation of logic and presentation, it is super easy to make use of existing PHP and AJAX libraries within MODx for building these web applications, and that’s part of the attraction of MODx for me. It provides the basics needed to get a site up and running quickly, without limiting what I can do with it from there.

However, in the next few weeks I will be unveiling a preview of the new MODx core framework that can be used with or without the legacy manager interface. It will also include additional PHP and AJAX rapid application development features, making MODx not only a true object-oriented MVC framework, but one with a fresh and unique approach tailored to the job of content management in the strange and rarely wonderful world of PHP hosting environments; one that can take advantage of the latest technologies and be optimized for high-performance platforms without sacrificing usability in more common ones.

Stay-tuned; I’m loading presents on the sleigh as we speak, and we’ll be talking a lot more about these exact subjects as the holiday approaches.

Now that sounds awesome (and that’s not a word I regularly use!) grin
